The flexible NANOMAT-EC / MICROMAT-EC / MINIMAT-EC screwdrivers for the highest quality demands allow the free programming of the screw tightening process. Within the power range of the selected tool, the torque value, speed, stand-by and direction of rotation can all be adjusted individually based on the assembly requirements. Outstanding features of fixtured EC spindles are their high torque precision and the large range of control functions – perfect conditions for process security and control at the highest level.

The brushless electric motors provide low-maintenance operation. Moreover, they are ideally suited for the tightening of screws due to their outstanding dynamics and ability to achieve high peak torque values.

The integrated torque control – based upon precise measurement of the motor current along with the evaluation of other dynamic factors – as well as angle measurement, allow precise control of multi-step screwdriving processes and documentation of the resulting values.

The DEPRAG screwdrivers based on EC technology enable a torque accuracy of < 2% standard deviation, which can be relied upon after millions of cycles.

Thus, a Cmk value ≥ 1.67 with a tolerance requirement of ±10% in reference to six sigma can be attained. A Cmk value of 1.67 translates to an error rate of less than 0.6 per million fastening cycles.

The DEPRAG sequence controller AST6 is the ideal controller for fixtured EC spindles in the very low torque range of 0.02 Nm – 0.2 Nm. If integration into a switch cabinet is desired, the optional ASTi6-1 can be chosen. In this case the software panel DAST can be used for operation and visualization of the controller, which in turn allows the system controller to provide the range of functions normally available on the AST6-1 display.

For any but the smallest of torque requirements, the DEPRAG controller AST11 becomes the ideal sequence controller for manual and fixtured EC screwdrivers.
