Screwdriver Spindle – size 3

 

 

 

 

General info:

·      The Spindles with Model No. 346-238-31 and
346-738-31 (as well as …-230-31 and …-730-31), are now equipped with the new 3-ball clutch, which has an improved accuracy for longer durations due to decreased wear.

·      The torque-adjustment is now possible on all size-3 Screwdriver Spindles.

·      Tag Description: all size-3 Screwdriver Spindles now have a model number starting with 346 -.., instead of the 344 -.. and 345-... description.

·      The length of the new Screwdriver Spindles has been standardized to facilitate a simple interchangeability between the different models. Where those spindles are used in Multi-Spindle Units, it will be necessary to extend the length of the “new” models by adding washers to the guide bolt. A detailed drawing with needed changeover components is available upon request.

·      The quickly-change-chuck was standardized for all models

·      The maximum torque for the model 346-438-31 (as well as 346-430-31) was changed to 20 Nm [177 in.lbs.].

·      The new reduction-gears to increase the torque, were standardized and are interchangeable with all other size-3 reduction gears.

Attention:

The new offset gears [to access tight hole-pattern while increasing the torque] cannot be exchanged 1:1, because the lateral guide-bolt is sized differently.

The mounting dimensions [for holding-bracket] remained the same.

 

 

Additional Changes:

 

§        A horizontal exhaust-hose connection, Part No. 386924D, was added as optional equipment.

§        A detailed functional description of the Depth Control was integrated into the new catalog on Page 22.
